Growing Our Learning Library

After temporarily postponing our homesteading aspirations, I decided to invest in some brain food (literature). I tried to be selective in choosing fairly current resources. I think I found several good ones. Let me know if you've read of these. Feedback and recommendation are appreciated.

  1. I have the Backyard Beekeeper. It's good for basic overview but if you're going to keep bees look into classes through the ISU extension office. There's a lot of things with beekeeping that cannot be learned in books. And as far as goat books, I constantly go back to the Storey Guide to Dairy Goats as a reference. Sad about that property not working out. Seemed a bit close to the expansion plans. Before you know it you're surrounded by developments like the one I live in now! :/
